Question 6:
The channel search doesnt find any/all of the channels. What can I do?

Answer 6:
Make sure the Region and Language settings in the Windows Control Panel reflect the correct language for the country/location.

Also check which version of DirectX is installed on your system. (Start/Run --> "dxdiag"). If DirectX 9.0b is installed the frequency table for the channel search is most likely not included. Microsoft offers an update for this problem at: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=825116

Question 8:
Why does the sound shut off after 2 minutes watching TV?

Answer 8:
This problem happens under Windows XP with Servive Pack 1. It is related to the Windows Messenger, you can resolved it by disabling the Messenger as well as the "MSN messenger check" in your anti-virus software. (for example Norton Anti Virus 2003). This problem should be solved in the next Service Pack.

Question 9:
I have connected the mini-jack to my notebook (Line In/Mic In), but no sound comes out of the notebook speakers. How can I correct this?

Answer 9:
1. Open the Windows mixer by double clicking on the loudspeaker symbol in the tray (next to the clock). Check to see if the input you have used is displayed in the mixer menu.

2. If not, go to Options-->Properties

3. Select all unmarked devices listed in the lower frame. Click on "OK" and confirm that the source you have chosen is not muted.

Should you use the Mic In on your laptop, be sure the Mic Boost is not activated.

The same procedure can be used to activate the recording source for other software such as WinDVR. Perform steps 1 and 2 from above. Then select the menu point "Recording" and follow step 3 above, selecting the source you wish to record from.
