Question 1:
My remote-control doesnt work!

Answer 1:
-please note that the supplied multi connector cable has to be connected because of its integrated IR-receiver.
-please make sure you have activated the 'Remote Control Editor' (in Background).
-start the 'Remote Control Editor' under 'Start' -> 'Software' -> 'TerraTec' -> 'RemoteControl' -> 'Remote Control Editor'.
-install the 'Remote Control Editor' Software from the supplied CD or download the latest version from our website.

Question 2:
PowerCinema cant be controlled by the remote-control, why?

Answer 2:
-When the 'Remote Control Editor' is installed before 'PowerCinema', this last musst be manually set in the list: open the 'Remote Control Editor' and select 'PowerCinema' at the position you wish.

Question 3:
Can I use the Cinergy remote-control with other devices like television, CD-Player, etc?

Answer 3:
No, the Cinergy remote-control only works with the Remote Control Editor-Software.
The software can be programmed, not the remote-control.

Question 4:
Can I control the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS Software with the remote control from another device??

Answer 4:
Usually not, but if you have a programmable remote control, you should be able to add the functions.

Question 5:
Why is the timeshifting not working?

Answer 5:
-Timeshifting is by default deactivated
You can activate it in the PowerCinema Settings under 'TV' -> 'TV-Settings' -> 'Activate Timeshifting'

Question 6:
Not all channels are found after the scan has been made.

Answer 6:
-The TV reception is probably to low. Please relocate the antenna. You can also run the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS connected to a roof areal.
-Is the aerial connected to the right input? Here a chart of the connection possibilities.

Question 7:
Can I connect an active antenna to the Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS?

Answer 7:
Yes, but the antenna has it own power supply. The USB port doesnt supply enough energy to power up an active antenna.

Question 8:
While watching analog TV, video and sound are not lipsynch.

Answer 8:
-Activate the timeshifting as explained in answer 5.
-If the problem stays, set the recording quality at "good"
-Furthermore, you can download the PowerCinema-Patch (please note that all user-settings in PowerCinema will be restored to default settings!)
Should the problem with the sound persist, please use the alternative software 'Cinergy TV' from our website.

Question 9:
The digital DVB-T scan doesnt start!

Answer 9:
-please make sure you have connected a DVB-T compatible antenna and that you are located in a coverage area.
-Install the 'Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS' to another free USB 2.0 port, also try when no other USB device (like scanner, webcam... etc) are connected.
-There could be a problem with the Windows Systemfile 'PsisDecd.dll'. In safe mode, you can extract the file from the archive 'i386\Driver.CAB' (Windows XP with ServicePack 1) or from the achive 'i386\SP2.CAB' (Windows XP with ServicePack 2) and copy it to the 'Windows\System32\' directory.

Question 10:
I don't hear sound in the analogue mode.

Answer 10:
-open 'Control Panel' -> 'Sounds and Audio Devices' -> 'Audio' and select 'Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS' for 'Sound recording'

When using the 'Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS' under Windows MCE a decoder error appears.

Answer 11:
-please install the supplied software Power Cinema to install the needed decoder for MCE.

The error 'No Tuner found' appears under Windows MCE.

Answer 12:
-start the 'Media Center-Setup' again to initialize the tuner hardware.
